Lineage

Starting in 1983, raingauges have been installed around Draix catchments to provide accurate measurement of local precipitation for each catchment. Laval and Pompe raingauges are used for the Laval, Moulin and Roubine catchments. Pepin raingauge is used for the Brusquet catchment. Sevigne raingauge is used for the Francon catchment. Village, Archail, Blache, Plateau and Cheval Blanc raingauges provided complementary information on the spatial variability of rain in the area. Precipitation is measured with Precis Mecanique and Campbell tipping-bucket instruments with a regular field control using a container. The data is cumulated at the time-step of one minute with a resolution of 0.1 or 0.2 mm.
