In situ water quality parameters
Sub‑surface water samples (0–1 m depth) were collected during five field campaigns carried out on eight measurement days: 26 May 2022, 29 June 2022, 19–20 April 2023, 22 June 2023, and 31 July–1 August and 3 August 2023. Samples were stored in opaque bottles for subsequent laboratory analysis of Total Suspended Material (TSM) and chlorophyll‑a (chl‑a) concentrations. One liter of water was collected for chl‑a determination, while 0.5 L was used for TSM analysis. TSM concentrations were obtained gravimetrically following standard laboratory procedures based on filtration through 0.45 µm pore‑size filters. Chlorophyll‑a concentrations were quantified using established analytical techniques, including spectrophotometric, fluorometric, and high‑performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) methods.
